Online Research
We have spent many years computerising the various sources for genealogical research, work that continues at present. The latest development, in conjunction with the Irish Family History Foundation, is to make these databases available for research online.
We launched our Online Research Site on October 15, 2007, making available all pre 1900 church baptismal, marriage and death records; all pre 1920 catholic civil marriage records and almost all pre 1920 civil birth records. The remaining civil birth records, pre 1920 civil death records and pre 1920 non-catholic civil marriage records are been continually added, a detailed list of what is available at present is outlined here. This will be updated as further records are added.
The indexes(listing surname, firstname and year) are free to search, however you need to register with the site in order to use the indexes. If you wish to view the full record details, credit can be purchased on the site and then used to view records on this site or on the Central Site.
Central Site
If you do not know what county in Ireland your ancestors came from you can use the Central website to search across all counties.
Each county Centre created a local computer database comprised of various genealogical records and have come together to create this Central Site.
